Coherent vertical cavity phased microlaser arrays

Abstract

The characteristics and performance of implanted photonic crystal coherent vertical cavity laser arrays are reported. We discuss control of the coherence, phase, brightness, and beam steering, as well as achieving record small signal bandwidth for digital modulation.
