Coherence and phase variation in coupled 2×1 photonic crystal VCSEL arrays

Abstract

The coherence and phase between defects of a coupled photonic crystal vertical cavity laser array is reported. Both coherence and phase vary with current injection, and the maximum coherence occurs for in- and out-of-phase coupling.
