The temperature dependence of the diffuse reverberant ultrasonic waves in finite solids was investigated by using coda-wave interferometry. In relation with the temperature dependence, the transient waveform response resulted in the observing of pure dilation of 0.0277% per degree. The distortion suffered by the waves was found to be dependent on the conversion rate between the dilatational and shear waves.
