N2 - Gastroenterology represents an important specialty within clinical reptile medicine. Veterinarians should become familiar with the unique anatomic and physiologic differences between reptiles to improve their management of these cases. In addition, veterinarians should use available diagnostic tests to confirm the presence of gastrointestinal disease. With the current advancements in reptile medicine, there is no reason these cases cannot be pursued to their fullest.
