Abstract

Current image reconstruction and processing issues in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), for the study of tissue structure were discussed. Need of new algorithms were discussed in image reconstruction, that could produce high-resolution images with good signal-to-noise ratio from reduced amounts of data. Outstanding problems in automatic image registration and segmentation were also described.
