Abstract

Photonic crystal (PC) biosensors are used for quantifying cell attachment to surfaces for applications such as pharmaceutical screening and life science research. PC biosensors and imaging detection instruments measure the aggregate behavior of large cell populations, individual cells, variation within cells.
