Abstract
The capacity of noncoherent time-selective block Rayleigh flat-fading channel was discussed. The predictability of the channel was found to be characterized through the rank Q (1≤Q≤N) of the correlation matrix of the vector of channel gains over the block. The analysis showed that for fixed signal to noise ratio (SNR) and Q, the capacity approached the coherent channel capacity when N→ ∞.
