Research output: Contribution to specialist publicationArticle

Abstract

Multimedia uses electronic technology to integrate the power of computing with potentials offered by media such as full-motion video, sound, text, graphics, and animation. The use of interactive multimedia technology allows developers to take advantage of the flexibility, effectiveness, and innovations in a number of technologies to produce tools to enhance the teaching and learning process in a variety of fields. Multimedia programs have the potential to help produce cost effective training tools by avoiding expensive and repetitive procedures which require time, equipment, and other resources. They also can reduce unnecessary risk to personnel and waste of materials.
