Abstract
A university developed CAD/CAM system for complex surfaces is described. A brief literature survey of existing systems is given. The mathematical background for the Bezier surface used for this system is presented. The interactive computer aided design part of the system used to design the complex surfaces is described. Thereafter, the methodology used to produce a cutter path for a milling machine is presented. Converting CAD information into CAM information is emphasized. Finally, the system configuration and sample output are presented.
