Abstract
The Utilitarian Parallel Simulator (UPS) is a parallel simulation tool that extends the standard CSIM modeling language by providing a simple and natural mechanism for submodels running on different processors to communicate with one another. UPS is a potentially portable to many multiprocessor systems. When the tool has been ran on the IBM SP2 and the Intel Paragon, good results have been obtained validating the efficacy of the tool.
