Abstract
A new-generation laboratory for electric power and power electronics is described. The laboratory design and workstations are discussed. Examples of experiments are presented. 'Blue box' experimental modules which support a full range of power conversion experiments are discussed. The laboratory provides safe, modern, concept-intensive study of power electronics and machines. Experience with the facility to date has been excellent, with very positive reactions from students.
