Brillouin suppression by fiber design

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

The design of Brillouin scattering suppressed optical fibers is described, including optimization of the acoustic index profile, designs for acoustic anti-guidance, and materials considerations for both design implementation and further reductions in Brillouin gain.
