Breaking the isolation of small group communication studies

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

In recent years there has been concern that the field of small group communication research is too small to support a vital research community. This essay argues that researchers in the area have been too pessimistic overall. It is suggested that, at present, the field is vital but dispersed. Small group research can be revitalized by forming cross-disciplinary linkages to counteract the diaspora of group researchers across a wide range of disciplines.
