Brain weight, as a function of age, in miniature swine

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Brain weights were recorded from 128 'normal' Sinclair (S 1) miniature swine from the 8th week of the 16 week gestation period to maturity. Mean brain weight, as a function of body weight, decreased markedly from 12 wk of gestation to 4 wk postpartum. The increase in brain weight was linear from 8 wk of gestation until 13 wk postpartum, with a decline in the rate of increase thereafter.
