Bragg Gratings Made with IR Femtosecond Radiation in High Alumina Content Aluminosilicate Optical Fibers

Abstract

Bragg gratings were manufactured in a high alumina content (30 mole %) optical fiber. More than 10-3 index modulation was generated for fundamental pitched gratings, and < 10-4 for higher order gratings.
