N2 - Fluorescence image-guided surgery has tremendous potential to assist surgeons in the operating room. Recent NIR fluorophore development provides new options for targeting different tumor markers and tissue types. We present a novel bioinspired multispectral camera, capable of imaging and differentiating multiple NIR fluorophores excited with a single excitation source. The camera features a unique spectral filter array, with filters to capture both visible light and nine spectral bands in the NIR, monolithically integrated with three vertically stacked photodiodes. It can produce overlaid visible and NIR images while sampling the NIR spectrum in a nuanced manner to distinguish similar fluorophores.
