Abstract

Analytical and numerical solutions are presented for viscoelastic beams with piezoelectric devices. Probabilities of failure are calculated. The ability of current ABAQUS^TMprograms were examined and found accurate in handling viscoelastic meshes of different sizes and/or different viscoelastic materials.
