Beam steering of mid-infrared light with active plasmonic structures

Abstract

We demonstrate beaming of coherent mid-infrared radiation through subwavelength slits flanked by periodic grooves at a metal/semiconductor interface. Steering angle is controlled by tuning either the incident-light wavelength or the optical properties of the semiconductor.
