Abstract

A study was conducted discuss the data and interpretation of Jumumjins and with particle sizes ranging between 0.43mm and 0.85mm, and a mean particle size D50 of 0.56mm. A team of researchers conducted a limiting equilibrium stability analysis of a talus of granular material free standing at the angle of repose. Another researcher who defined the angle of repose as the greatest inclination to horizon to which a talus would stand, went on to emphasized that the angle of repose of shaken sand was a phrase without a meaning.
