Abstract

Over the years we have seen the proliferation of mobile internet connected devices. This growth is challenging the traditional notions of education being bound to a single time and place. At the same time teachers are asked to develop 21st century competencies such as creativity, collaboration, and technological literacy. The variety of technologies in today's Collaborative Learning Places present new opportunities for learning and new challenges in device orchestration. This is driving the need for design that considers the pedagogical, practical, and technical aspects of Architecting Collaborative Learning Places.
