Abstract
The article discusses the latest preservation efforts of archaeological sites in northwestern Illinois as of September 2011. It particularly cites the preservation works by the Jo Daviess Conservation Foundation (JDCF) since 2003, in cooperation with archeologists from such groups as the Illinois State Archaeological Survey (ISAS), the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) and The Archaeological Conservancy (TAC). Among the preserved sites is the Wapello Land and Water Reserve.
