Approaches to recursive image decomposition ( quadtrees).

Research output: Contribution to journalArticle

Abstract

Approaches to planar decomposition for image representation are described. Square and triangular quad trees are found to be the only feasible methods, having the same computational complexity. For grid images the choice of the appropriate tree types is determined by the grid topology.-Author
