Applications of Non-Hermitian Coupled VCSEL Arrays

Abstract

Photonic crystal 2-element VCSEL arrays with independent current injection enable non-Hermitian supermodes that can be used for beam steering or modulation enhancement. Examples of both applications will be shown for VCSEL arrays emitting at 850nm.
