Abstract
This paper presents a concurrent finite element approach for solution of the Fokker-Planck equation based on domain decomposition. The computational domain is divided into subdomains which are analyzed in parallel on separate computational nodes. Communication is required between the nodes for determination of the solution at the interface between the subdomains. An example is provided showing that substantial savings in both computational time and storage can be realized by this approach.
