Abstract

Multiple-pole slotless PMSMs are promising for weight-sensitive transportation application. In this paper, an analytical calculation method for the equivalent circuit parameters and operational inductance is introduced. The accuracy of the analytical prediction is verified with finite element analysis and hardware measurement. It is a powerful tool for performance prediction and machine design.
