An O-band polarization splitter-rotator in a CMOS-integrated silicon photonics platform

Abstract

We demonstrate an adiabatic polarization splitter-rotator fabricated in a production CMOS-integrated Si photonic process. The measured insertion loss is ≤ 1.0dB and the polarization extinction is better than 27dB over the 60nm bandwidth measured.
