Abstract
An overview is given on a new ionospheric and thermospheric imaging instrument being built by the NRL. This instrument is designed to observe from a geostationary platform. Thus, the instrument uses demonstrated technology for optics, detectors, and filters. It will be capable of near real-time image acquisition.
