An efficient, temperature-based algorithm for feedback control of electromagnetic phased-array hyperthermia

Abstract

A new technique for measurement-based feedback control of the phases and amplitudes of electromagnetic phased-arrays for hyperthermia is presented. The technique incorporates measurement data as it becomes available in real-time into a parametric model of the electromagnetic and thermal physics of the temperature evolution. A key feature of the technique is that it is temperature-based.
