Abstract

Proceedings of the 2008 Airfield and Highway Pavements Conference, held in Bellevue, Washington, October 15-18, 2008. Sponsored by the Transportation and Development Institute of ASCE. This collection contains 54 peer-reviewed papers exploring the newest advances and challenges in pavement design and construction. Today's pavement engineers are responsible for designing and building durable and cost-effective, yet environmentally friendly pavement systems. Topics include: pavement modeling; characterization of pavement materials; pavement management, evaluation, and rehabilitation; performance of stabilized and unbound pavement layers; pavement design and analysis; pavement performance studies. Papers are contributed by both practitioners and researchers.
