Abstract

In this study, the extended Kalman filter algorithm is applied to a SDOF system excited by a Kanai-Tajimi input spectrum. The algorithm is shown to be successful in estimating the input spectrum both parametrically and non-parametrically. Comparison to the results previously presented is given to compare the accuracy and reliability of the proposed methods.
