Abstract

The complexity associated with today's more turbulent environment as well as pluralism that results from the nature of group decision making are specific factors that challenge decision makers. This paper reports upon the use of advanced information tools to enhance individual and organizational learning in a specific strategic decision setting. Development of the system was funded by a private sector organization concerned with enhancing their process of strategic allocation of research funds. The purpose of the system is to enhance learning and joint decision making within these organizations. Extensive evaluation of the effects of use of the tool with more than 100 decision makers has been conducted. Initial results of that evaluation are reported here.
