Abstract

The research work that is being carried out to ensure secure wireless ad hoc routing is reported. Attacks on ad hoc network routing protocols have the potential to disrupt network performance and reliability. A more complete model of possible attacks would let protocol designers evaluate the security of their routing protocols. Although researchers have developed security extensions for several existing network protocols, many of these extensions remove important performance optimizations.
