Abstract

Using data collected by the Fermilab experiment FOCUS, we measure the lifetime of the charmed baryon Ξc0 using the decay channels Ξc0 → Ξ-π+ and Ξc0 → Ω-K+. From a combined sample of 110 ± 17 events we find τ (Ξc0) = 118-12+14 ± 5 fs, where the first and second errors are statistical and systematic, respectively.
