Abstract

The Low-Frequency Multilevel Fast Multipole Algorithm (LF-MLFMA) was applied to the scattering problem from a composite object from a composite object. However, for the scattering from a composite object, more than one medium was involved and thus LF-MLFMA cannot be applied directly. This paper shows that Contact-Region-Modeling (CRM) was used to convert the composite object problem into a multi-region problem and applies the LF-MLFMA region by region.
