Abstract
An essay inspired by my duet BOOM!, “A Movement in Lockstep (on duets)”, is a mediation on the performance of this duet where the characters are both inside and outside of the performance. They/she sees the movement between the two performers and comments upon the states of mind in the work while it is proceeding while simultaneously navigating and narrating the design of the choreography.
