Abstract
An analysis of the film "Peau d'Âne" ("Donkey Skin") directed by Jacques Demy is presented. It looks at Demy's stylistic interpretation of the story, an adaptation of a fairy tale by Charles Perrault, by noting the film is structured as both a musical and fairy tale. Particular attention is given to figure movement within the film.
