Abstract

Recently, vector functions are developed and presented in a systematic way for interpolatory functions and for hierarchical functions. Thus, hierarchical basis functions are used in the antenna analysis. This paper employs this kind of basis functions in the full-wave analysis of closed waveguiding structures, which requires scalar/vector interpolation and is compared with interpolatory basis functions, mainly in terms of their convergence.
