Abstract
This article discusses the strengths and weaknesses of a popular business and investment database, ISI Emerging Markets. The authors reviewed significant developments and main features and analyzed critical issues such as relevance of information, organization, translation, and search capabilities. The article's focus is on Chinese and Russian materials. A comparison is made with two other emerging markets databases, EMC and BradyNet, and two area studies databases, East View and Integrum World Wide.
