3D OCT characterization and quantification of refractive indices of bacteria and biofilms with antibiotic interventions

Abstract

Using 3D OCT, we have quantified the refractive indices of ear-infection causing bacteria and biofilms with antibiotics interventions. This approach reveals changing optical properties of bacteria in biofilms following the delivery of antibiotics.
