Abstract
The process of conducting 3D laser scanning for tracking supported excavation construction was discussed. It was found that the terrain model was automatically imported in to numerical simulation environment to improve the fidelity of model simulation. The adjustment of engineering design and construction activities to control deformation was elaborated. The integration of the accurated field data with analytical method is expected to help improve the quality of design and construction.
