Six points of understanding are proposed on the problem of future global urban gentrification for the purpose of further discussion later on. The focus is the dispute caused by urban gentrification in the process of urban renewal. Urban gentrification involves a number of complex problems such as private developer and builder start to show interest in the new investment opportunities thus they carry out reform in appropriate blocks while local governments also arrange investment promotion, which also facilitates renewal of the downtown; the politically disputed problems are handled by the governments through urban development propaganda; besides, there is influence of the reform upon its completion on the relevant neighborhoods, citizens and city.
