Abstract
The focus of this paper is ľ1-optimal control of sampled-data systems. A converging approximation procedure is derived to compute the ľ1 induced norm of closed-loop finite-dimensional linear time-invariant (LTI) sampled-data systems. An approximation method is developed to synthesize ľ1-optimal sampled-data regulators. Finally, an example is provided that illustrates the ľ1 analysis and design techniques presented.
