Research Interests

Current study of the immune systems role in cancer defense requires new techniques in multi-omic analysis but lacks the computational base to enable such research. As a postdoctoral researcher I pushed the use of AI to integrate multi-omic data sources using a combination of imaging and sequencing immune data sets. In my current role as Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign I further the inclusion of machine learning in multi-omic approaches to agricultural and biomedical research. Research subjects in my lab include T-cell involvement in inflammatory diabetes, spatial dynamics of the immune tumor microenvironment and computer vision algorithms for biomedical image analysis.
