Research Interests
Professor Boppart's research focuses on exploring the molecular and cellular mechanisms responsible for skeletal muscle growth post-exercise. This information is then used to develop novel cell- and pharmacological-based interventions to prevent or treat loss of muscle mass after disuse, particularly in vulnerable populations (aging). We have a specific interest in developing stem cell, pericyte, and extracellular vesicle (EV)-based therapies.
